Meet The Natives Discussion

I watched Meet the Natives: USA episode four.  In this episode the natives are in the state of Montana.  I learned that in the United States as a farmer, you usually specialize in growing or raising one product (like corn or beef) and then that product is sold to others and the farmer receives money for this.  All other necessities are bought with this money at a grocery store.
I also learned that people do things that are bad for them repeatedly, and repeatedly suffer the consequences despite warnings (eg. smoking, drinking, etc.).
We hunt with muskets and  guns and then take pictures with the dead animals.
People go to rodeos to show off their animals, their skills with animals.  Both men and women participate in these events.  "They want to be brave, so they play with bulls to show they have no fear".
